It is my sincere hope that 2013 is a year that I focus on nurturing this blog – and building this ministry. I thought 2012 might be the year for that, but – poof – the year evaporated in a fog of busy-ness and fatigue and distraction …. and life.
Life happens – and sometimes it happens in big clumps of errands and chores and just keeping everything running in some semblance of order. We intend to do many things and if we’re lucky, at the end of the year, we can check a few of them off “the list.”
I’m mindful of this as I reflect on the commitment I want to make to nurturing this blog. It is another platform to feed – like another mouth at the table – but I believe God has put it on my heart that this mouth needs to be fed. And I believe he has given me a theme for the coming year. And so that is what I’ll focus on in the coming year.
The theme?
FORGIVENESS
I believe the power of forgiveness is tremendous – and I also think that forgiveness is something many of us don’t fully understand.
I’m committing to make 2013 the Year of Forgiveness – and my hope is to post regularly to this blog and encourage you to share you own stories of the power of forgiveness in your life. I know that forgiveness is transforming. I hope you’ll discover that truth with me in the coming year.
So to close out 2012 I will start by forgiving myself for not nurturing this blog more. I’m only human. I made other choices.
And that’s ok.
Here’s to fresh starts and new horizons.
Blessings to you~
